Established on July 7th, 2001, SIG Laboratory first dedicated it self to GMO (Genetically Modified Organism) testing and bacteria identification testing using PCR. At that time, the lab was located at Ruko Taman Yasmin Sektor VI No. 150 Bogor

In March 2003, SIG Laboratory succeeded a GMO analysis proficiency test held by FAPAS – GeMMA Scheme Proficiency Testing Group, Central Science Laboratory, Sand Hutton York, the United Kingdom, with “Satisfactory Performance” result

In April 2004, SIG Laboratory also passed a GMO analysis proficiency testing held by Asia Pacific Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (APLAC), and again with “Satisfactory Performance” result.

In August 2006, the lab moved to a new and more representative building located at Jalan Rasamala no. 46, Taman Yasmin, Bogor.

In February 2007, SIG Laboratory went through the re-accreditation process of ISO/IEC 17025 : 2005 for the scope of pesticide residue analysis, artificial sweetener, food coloring, food preservatives, melamine, etc.

In 2011, moved to the Graha SIG building Jl. Rasamala no. 20 (SIG Tower A) In May 2011, the National Accreditation Committee (KAN) was re-accredited based on ISO / IEC 17025: 2005 with the addition of the scope of accreditation, including analysis of pesticide residue analysis tests, artificial sweeteners, food coloring, food preservatives, melamine, etc.

SIG Laboratory continues to improve the quality of its services to get closer to its customers, and expand its marketing network. This Laboratory with the One-Stop Laboratory Service motto opens a Marketing and Sales Office in Jakarta.

In 2020, occupy the new Tower B building with 11 floors

In January 2021, SIG Laboratory underwent a rebranding, focusing its ideals as a laboratory that supports product safety, with a new tagline, “Towards a safer world” and ISO/IEC 17025:2017 accreditation
